Police: Gay Man Killed While In Bed, Car and Dog Missing

Police have identified the victim of a deadly shooting that happened late Monday night in southwest Atlanta.

Officers said Quintavius Waters, 24, was shot once in the head. He was found dead in his bed inside a home on Allegheny Street. Police said the victim's roommate discovered Waters' body just before midnight.

Waters' vehicle was missing from his home when officers arrived. Police said his dog, a Yorkshire Terrier, was also missing.

Investigators have issued a lookout for a 2001 black Ford Mustang with a soft top. The car has an Alabama license plate - 3AG5624.

Robbery does not appear to be the motive, according to police.

"There was no forced entry to the home so that's interesting," relayed Major Adam Lee III with Atlanta Police.

Waters' friends told autorities that Waters was a security guard for Atlanta rapper Young Thug.

Friends of Waters posted messages from a man who threatened his life just a month prior on Facebook no word yet on whether he is a suspect.
